Hey Cats,
Finally found a watch that pried a good chunk of change out of me. I've been on a very long and patient search for a new watch to wear as a daily (going to retire my Tissot Seastar as my daily) I wanted a large and robust watch with great visual impact and style. It's a huge watch and it weighs a ton, the compass works well and the lume is average. This watch has the thickest bracelet links I've ever seen on a watch, Case diameter is 40MM, 50mm included crowns, 50mm lug to lug. So far I just love it, the weight is a bit much but I'll get used to it.

Well anyway here's some pics.

Peace,
Preston

I have an esq quest chrono--not a bad watch, squeaky bracelet though

How much did the squadron set you back?

It's a brand new thing ESQ is doing for 2007, the compass feature is still patent pending actually. It set me back $500+ including tax Canadian

I don't do much but my wife and I do take our neices hiking in the summer time. I also got the watch because it's pretty darn cool and I've been looking for over a year for that just right piece to add to my collection and as my research and the jeweller has told me it's a new piece for 2007 by ESQ and the compass technology is still patent pending. Also it's just the right fit for the size of my arm, it doesn't look that large when I'm wearing it..... not that I'm bragging about my pipes or anything like that ;-) Did you get a look at the chrono version of it, I did and I found it way too busy dial wise, it looked hard to read. The only gripe I have about this watch is that it doesn't have a calendar feature but I'll get over it :)

Yeah your right about it coming out recently--I just chked the esq swiss website.

Its not a really large watch in terms of the dial--I meant its thickness and weight. Anyways, its a great piece, enjoy it. Esq makes good solid cases.

Beautiful Watch. I have also been considering the Beacon and am looking for anyone that can give me their opinion.
Did you purchase an extended warranty / protection plan with your watch?
