You're crapping on him over "Bulova/Bolivia", yet you can't spell "skeleton"? Oy.....

It's not always easy to correct people - you don't know how they'll take it. I vaguely know a guy who's clearly an enthusiast (he had just got "the call" for a Daytona last time I saw him FFS), but he was talking about his JLC that was going in for repair - he pronounced it "Yaeger", but I wasn't going to be That "actually, it's pronounced jeh-jair" Guy. He's a good guy, loves his watches - who cares what he calls them?So you’re busting his chops about mispronouncing the name…just tell him how to pronounce it correctly. What worries me is your backstabbing demeanor. He’s not the best coworker, thing is blingy, but you “tried” to be nice and complimented it. If it was me, I’d rather have you say nothing than give me a fake a$$ compliment, then smear me on a watch site. You can do better.
Also true! Most of the folks I associate with are pretty thick skinned, so it’s more in line with saying… hey, you got some TP stuck to your shoe. No one gets offended as long as it’s done discretely. But I definitely see your point. JLC is a toughie…jeh-jair, zhe-zhe… even the le kuthrrr gives non French some grief. I just say JLC so I don’t sound like a tool 😂.It's not always easy to correct people - you don't know how they'll take it. My FIL is notorious for mispronouncing things. He calls gnocchi… ganushi. I love it.My boss says "space" when he means to say "spec" as short for specification.
He got it from his dad who's saying it wrong as well.
I think I'll start a thread about it.
Xanax?
