This one caught my eye at a thrift. Went home and spent a few days researching, and bought it.

I haven't got it to my watchmaker yet, so the movement is unknown, but from research this watch should be from the era 1955-57.

I feel no, "bump" so it's a post caliber 354 (years:1952-55) rotor winding movement, and it has the smooth snap on case(gasket) without the Seahorse and just "waterproof", so pre 1958.

The Omega bracelet dates to about 1957-58 from the only advertisement I could find (the Omega symbol extends to cover the release.)

10-sided faceted crown, signed.

Funky fonted "Seamaster" so the dial dates to mid 1950's also. Breguet numerals. Dauphine pointed hands.

The dial just says "Swiss" at 6 o'clock, not "Swiss Made"...... any significance here?

So, I'm thinking this is not a fake. What do you Forum members think?

I would bet it has a 500 or 501 caliber movement. It times extremely well.

Any comments, corrections and thoughts are welcomed.
