Looking good here! I'd like to make a suggestion if I may:
Next time try to use a non-white background paper; a mid-grey or a dark blue would be quite admirable. The camera would try to integrate the tones it sees as a mid grey, so if you have a chrome watch on a white background, the overall effect would look quite dull, lacking the sparkle. Also, the highlights on the watch case would also merge into the background, losing its outline.
While I use an old copy of Photoshop, GIMP should also offer adjustments in brightness/contrast, levels, and curves; these you can explore; with a darker background, these adjustments would be much easier without the danger of the outline of the watch vanishing.
