I love the elegance of the two hand side. The chrono side… it’s a bit too busy for me.

I was at W&W and luckily got an appointment to try this on.

It's business in the front and party at the back. It's quite stunning and there's a lot of engineering involved to fit not only a chronograph (last chrono reverso was 30 years ago, and it was chrono only on the back side) with retrograde minute hand, but also have 2 sets of hour/minute/second hands on both dials.

I'm jealous! Looks wonderful, but wow what a different in size the 22mm strap makes versus the 20mm of the small seconds. This wears noticeably larger, however, for what you are getting in this package with that gorgeous open worked Chrono I'm more than ok with that trade-off.

I do wish that JLC would provide a bracelet option on the large duoface models, however.

While I'm of the opinion that a Reverso will always look best on a leather strap, I can't always wear a leather strap in hot summers. Rubber B is certainly an option, but I've liked some of JLCs bracelets for the Reverso they've used before and would just like the option at minimum.

By chance I happened to pop into the JLC boutique in the South Coast Mall (Costa Mesa) and they had both models to look at. The steel version would definitely be my pick over the gold. The blue dial is almost slate like and pairs so well with the blue canvas strap. This combo is definitely has a much more casual vibe. The skeletonized chronograph side is a work of art. Forget trying to quickly read the time though. The silver color of the hands and markers blend in with the mechanism so you really have to look closely. But who the hell cares, you have the blue dial side for the time. [emoji38] It really is a amazing how they engineered everything. Kudos to JLC! The AD mentioned that right now it’s about a year or so wait for one. I’m seriously considering picking one up!

I was so excited to try it on I forgot to take some wrist shots.
