Hi, Bob. I don't where you're from, but I just checked two of mine. They synched this a.m. (12/21/06). I'm in Los Angeles.

I just got a MTG-920. I didn't synch last night, but damned if I fall asleep with it on!

A GW300 and a GW5600J synching OK here. I'm in the north of Mexico, 900 miles form Fort Collins.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Sometimes it syncs, sometimes it doesn't. It all depends on the current weather, your location, time of day, etc. My watches sync like 3 times or less per month. As long as it syncs once a month, you shouldn't worry too much. You'll only be off a couple secs. :-D

My GW-1210 sync'd @ 0303 this morning on the east coast (just north of Boston) with full bars. If yours is missing, how's your weather been? I usually miss when it's overcast or stormy.
