Here is the first G-shock model DW-5000C, from 1983. In all its naked glory
It is really hard for me to believe that you are holding a 33 year old watch on your hands.
Looks like mint.

How did you do that?

Did you wear it at all, or did you know back then what this watch would mean in 3 decades to the world?

I am not the first owner. I did some restoration work on it, but not much. Still looking for a bezel but I do have a band for it.

Thanks, all I did was polish the caseback a little and straighten the module and replace the battery and o ring. Thankfully the crystal had no scratches. Trying to find a genuine bezel without paying $300, could take a little patience.

I always thought the 5500's case is bigger than the 5600's. Now i see they are practically the same except for the buttons.
