Yes. Very high karat, like 18k, and stamped from solid gold stock. The new breitling web site has a nice tour of the manufacturing process. You can see a clear photo of the stamping process in the dial secttion.

snapit you are right, but what i'm talking about is on the navitimer. the website shows a different kind of breitling symbol compared to the navitimer. is the navitimer symbol also made of gold

if it's yellow it's gold for sure...if not, could be steel, white gold or platinum depending on the case of the watch in question

i saw the pic of your watch.....i think gold foil was used to make the logo and the text
