Although I have been a member for awhile I don't generally post. But I am in need of your knowledge. A few months ago I came across a g shock that had what I think was a ion plated back cover. I have been trying to find it online now and I am having no luck. I believe it was one of the 6900 models but I am not entirely certain. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken

Never seen one in person.

IIRC, the N. Hoolywood DW-5600 also has a black ion plated backplate.

This one is very expensive, of course, since I like it...

Not sure what's ion plating, are you referring to DLC, which gives a dark, very glossy, mirror-like finish? If yes, then there are quite a few G-shocks with that caseback and some more information would be required to identify the watch.

Was it a square watch with solar and atomic time reception? Should be a GW-5000
Was it a big, asymmetrical diver's watch? Should be a Frogman.
Was it a large analog chronigraph? Should be a MRG.
