Hello,
My beautiful wife surprised me by purchasing a vintage Omega De Ville off of Ebay. I like vintage watches, and I appreciate the effort, but I'm slightly skeptical of what she won/bought. The seller has a good reputation and no negative feedback, but he didn't include the case and calibre reference #'s. The only thing I can make out is above the lower lug it says 100L 103, or maybe T00L 103 or maybe 1002 103. I'm familiar with the 1002 calibre, so maybe that's it, but I was hoping for one of my Omega aficionado friends on WUS to take a look at the photos and see if you have an idea of the model/ref # and possibly even estimate of the age? I appreciate your help in advance and would be happy to reciprocate any favors however I can!

I'm not an expert here but Tool 103 should be the tool required to open the case, I believe the size of the crystal lift. I think it is likely original and just seen a lot of wear in it's life. What a great spouse that buys you watches!

Thanks a lot! Any idea of the period it is from? I was thinking late 60's, but IDK. Searching for vintage Omega De ville on google isn't real helpful. I've looked through hundreds of photos trying to find an exact match.

Well, I made some headway on my research, it is case ref #566.0041, built somewhere between 1960 and 69. Originally I thought she got a crazy deal at $285.00, but now I've found them for between $400 and $1,000. So, she probably did good, but not unbelievably good - which makes me feel better about the likelihood of its authenticity.
