ok so a friend of mine asked me if i could find any information on this watch for her so i turn to the experts on watchuseek anyway its a gold pocket watch with a fancy s on the cover when you open it up it says a.w. co waltham then on the case it says 317985 if you open the back cover it says c.wc co trade mark with a shooting star and the 317985 open the second cover to the movement and it says american waltham watch co safety pinion 4479284 i would like to know all i can about the watch plus this watch is not running but looks to be in good to very fine condition is it worth getting fixed and about how much would it cost thanks

It's a Model 1889 6 size made in 1890. They were made with 7-11 Jewels. The serial number on the movement 4479284 is the important one.

Based on the shape of the coverplate on the movement it is an Model 1889 Size 6, and the serial confirms it was made in 1889 not 1890 as someone else posted. Probably worth $40-$50 in "not working" condition.
