Hi all,

I got an Omega watch from my grandpa (picture attached) on which I have very little information.

I need the help of the community to find the year of release and the value of this watch ; any help or information would be much appreciated. The bracelet is not original, and the back of the watch is full. I got it fixed a few times but it doesn't work right now.

Thank you in advance for your kind help!

Hello,

The design and style looks to be late 40's with a 30T2 movement. But to be sure we would really need to see a picture of the movement.
On the movement there is a serial number which can be used to date it within a couple years. The ref number on the inside of the caseback might help too.
Sorry but no valuations on WUS. If you have some more detailed info you could search on Ebay for sold similar watches and get an idea of the price.

Hi. A friend of mine got this watch in a fleemarket some years ago. Do you know the name of the watch? Thanks (and sorry for gatecrashibg your thread).

I respectfully disagree. This looks like a late 1930's small (diameter under 30mm) men's Omega. The reference should be similar to this:

OMEGA Watches: Vintage Watches Database

Movement is likely a cal. 26.5SOB:

bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Omega 26.5SOB T2

It's likely not going to have a reference number on the inside of the case. These weren't widely used outside of the factory until the 1940's.

Nice collectible piece with a rather unusual and original dial. Most have been redialed, not this one.

Hope this helps,

Your friend's watch is unfortunately a bad redial.
