Hi guys
I'm new here but mayby someone can help me out.
My grandfather gave me a Tissot watch.
I can't find any information on the watch, so I'm hoping someone out there knows something about it.

On the back, it gives "Ch.F.Tissot&Fils Locle no.26664".
I'd appreciate any information you could give me. Thanks!

There were several Tissots around but his is indeed from the company that is still around: Tissot in Le Locle. They started up in 1853 so if the 26xxx is the watch serial number, it won't be that late (not sure about the output per year but Zenith started in 1865 and made it to the 1 million mark in the early 20th century). At the same time, it looks like a crown wound and set movement which would place it probably post 1890.

If you lift up the inner cover you will see the movement.
Please take a picture of that and post!

The serial numbers 19905-36187 are given by Tissot as 1871-1875. The number 26664 likely places the watch somewhere in the middle of this period. Nice watch.:)
