I think it looks very nice. The cream dial is very attractive. My experience with Orient watches is That they are generally an excellent value for the money, so you should be pleased. I don't know the specifics of that particular watch, but it probably doesn't hand wind (auto only). Not a problem unless you change watches frequently, at which point the ability to hand wind comes in handy.

I think the design is probably more suited to the not so young wearer. :)
 Really - do you think so...

:-d I think it's a very juvenile watch...

@Ecotrin:

If you like it and if you feel young at heart go for this Orient Star. It's a nice dress watch really.
Be prepared: it has a classic look.

Here's it's blue faced brother:

I think Orient's handwindable and hacking movements are as good as Seiko's 6R15 mvts.
Having said that, they feel different while winding (a bit rough, not as smooth as the aforementioned Seiko mvts.).
I have four Orient Stars, they all are good regulated between 0 and max. 10 secs. fast.

Thank you to everyone. Actually, the blue dial is really nice. Yeah, I kinda dig the classic look, looks like something out of Mad Men. Do you think it is too expensive for what is is at $550? I am looking for a dress watch and that is why I kinda like it but it is pricey for an orient.

thank you,
will

$550 is probably Seiya's price. He's a seller with great reputation.
You could try one of the japanese web shops on the rakuten online mall.
Some of them (not all) will send outside Japan.

No, $550 (or $477) + taxes is not that much for an Orient Star. Be aware that the Star line is more refined than Orient Three Stars.
There are good ordinary Orients too.

Have a look here: CLASSIC AUTOMATIC | FD0F003W | ORIENT WATCH

Could you please link me to the blue watch? It's one of the nicest Orient Stars I've seen.
Here is the Orient Watch (Japan) website ¾¦ÉʾҲð¡Ã¥ª¥ê¥¨¥ó¥È»þ·× The classics come under the category "Orient Star" (second along)

The blue one (WZ0101EJ) is no longer manufactured. Here is a link for some more pics (I have nothing to do with this for sale posting

Yes, that's my watch. I bought it from Brugo.
Thanks Nathan.

If I would go for the black or cream dialed version today if I would by new...

Hi Michael,

It amazes me how these watches float around from owner to owner around these forums. I've got the mushroom colour which is somewhat unusual but particularly nice...

Cream-colored dials aren't my thing. But the basic design is good-looking. Also, Orient is a better than decent brand. If you like the overall look of the watch, buy it and enjoy it.
