Well I picked up a few more watches recently and I figure I should split this into two threads so not to jam one up with a lot of pictures.
The two I will be posting in this thread are a Calvert Automatic from the 60s and a Helvetia from I think the 40s or 50s. et first I thought the Calvert was a 40s or 50s piece based on the dial and its styling but upon receipt I found out it is quite large, around 38mm, and the case engraving would date it to around 60'. It houses an AS 17j 1361 and runs nicely. The case back is engraved "Otto Julick Fire Chief 1937-1960 Cayuga Community" and it is one I don't mind. Any info on this is much appreciated, including a date?
The next is a Helvetia that is almost certainly from the 40s or 50s. I like the style of this one with the red seconds hand and the blued hour and minute hands. I put it on a blue nato style strap and it runs nicely. Any thoughts about the movt.?
