After years of lusting I finally pulled the trigger on a Nomos Tangente. It arrived on Monday so I've spent the last few days bonding with it.

I tend to prefer minimal watches and you can't get much more minimal than this one:

Less is definitely more with Nomos but they manage to do this without making the watch boring. The blued hands and silver dial add some subtle colour:

The handwinding movement means the watch is very thin, c6.5cm:

As this is my first in-house movement I wanted to be able to see what I was paying for, so opted for the exhibition caseback:

Overall, I'm very pleased with the watch. Yes, it's simple (some might say boring) but there is an elegance and sophistication to that, and the blued hands and silver dial means it never looks cheap.

Awesome. Congrats on a great choice. It is a lot of things, but boring is not one! It has to be seen in person to appreciate the details.

Nice acquisition, congrats! :)

Is Mrs Armchair going to perform the washing machine test also on this one?
I've already mentioned the consequences if she does :-d

This is the one Nomos watch that was always *meh* until I saw one in the case for the first time. Wow! It is surprisingly different and beautiful in person. A keeper for sure. Congrats!

You go with the 35mm or the 38mm? And how did you decide which one you wanted?
I got the 35mm. I have very slim wrists (about 6 inches) so it was really a decision between the 33 and the 35.
