I've an 80's US version rolling around in a trunk my father packed away when I left home some many years ago that I've been hurting for, but I found this watch through this site and said "YES I CAN!".

Heh, so minty fresh it's still on Japanese time.

Awesome site. Awesome watch. Thanks WUS!

We love vintage square G-shocks. When you get the chance, post a shot of the two side-by-side.

Just to touch base with some observations...

- LCD seems super sharp/crisp, as in the clearest/sharpest I feel I've ever seen
- band material is far superior to my "vintage" version in the way it feels on the skin
- auto-e.l. is better then I thought it was going to be, awesome feature
- watch band too loose or too tight for my wrist
- I'd kill for a fabric band that looked OEM
