Just saw this on their Instagram and website. I like it.

$899 which isn't a bad price for an ETA 2893-2 with Helson's build quality.

--Case: Brushed 316L surgical stainless steel - Ø 38 mm - height 12.4 mm - lug distance 20 mm - lug to lug length 46mm, weight 186g on bracelet
--Screwed crown with side protection
--Sapphire crystal: 2.7 mm thick - inside AR coated.
--Bezel with sapphire inlay
--Water resistance: 300m/1000 ft
--Dial, hands and bezel coated with Swiss SuperLuminova
--Bracelet: Comfortable 20 mm stainless steel bracelet with removable screwed end links, ratcheting clasp; 20x20mm CUDA rubber strap.

--Movement: 21 Jewels Swiss Automatic ETA 2893-2
Thoughts?

Interesting. If they had made this with their titanium case and gave it applied indexes that might be enough to push me over the edge on this. Right now the painted indexes is why I haven’t bonded with my SD38ti. Have they talked about if the bezel will be bi-directional or unidirectional and how many clicks it will be?

With applied indexes using a gmt model like this, they'd have to either have a 'bent up' hand to clear the indices a la Monta Skyquest (which seemed to be polarizing for some reason), or shortened and not quite reach the markers on the bezel.

Personally, I like the way this looks in that sort of classic way. Although I actually liked the way Monta handled their design and would like to see more like that. I hate shortened gmt hands.

Kinda wish they did one of these with their teal dial and a teal / orange split sapphire insert.

I like the blue. The price not so much. Perhaps there will be a sale down the road.

From my understanding Helson runs 15% off sales a few times a year (I know for sure they do for the lunar new year). That would bring the price down to $765. I don’t think the MSRP is too bad, but I think if you can wait for one of their sales that is a very good price for this watch.

Assuming this watch has similar depreciation to their other models you could probably find a used one for $500-600 in a year or so

You sir, have made my year with his post. Finally, a 38mm diver GMT. The black version looks good, $899 is a fair price to me. PVD and bronze options would have been nice as opposed to the other colour choices chosen.
Yep, I recently bought a Sharkmaster 300 and I think their build quality and choice of movements is deserving of the price tag, specially if you factor in the 10-15% discount you can get from them during their sales.

I don't have any more information than what's on their website, unfortunately.

Yeah, I second this. I got my Sharkmaster 300 during one of their sales and they run those a few times a year. I think the watch turns out to be quite reasonable once you factor that 15% discount.

I really like the watch, but not the price.

Better options out there in that range, IMHO.

If you like it, get it and enjoy.

I emailed them a few days ago about the bezel but I have not heard back.

Coincidentally, Zelos just released their Horizons GMT, using the same movement. Priced at $749 for non-meteorite versions. Just a FYI, not saying one is a better deal vs the other.

I’ve been hunting for a white dial Pepsi gmt for some time now that isn’t a modded creation. Right now it’s this or the Steinhart OLKO GMT 39. Anyone have the Helson 38 diver and can talk to the wearability of the case? If I went to a nice dinner on vacation, would it fit under a shirt cuff?
