Hello and a happy new year!

I hope, it's of interest for you when I write here about the new archived movements on 17jewels.info

The last movement, which got into the archive is a Certina 251, a beautiful manual wound form movement from the 1940ies.

Since I cannot yet post images and a link to it, just visit the start page and click on the article preview.

Ciao
Christoph

While 17jewels.info is dedicated mainly to wristwatch movement of the 1930ies till then 1980ies, there are some exceptions, which are worth being added to the archive.

Today, it's a Timex M43, a very unusual Timex Quartz movement, a quartz movement of the second generation, which was launched in the late 1970ies and only beat once per minute. Yes, once per minute! This odd construction was very cheap, very robust, but very soon replaced by conventional stepper motor constructions, so this oddity is also a rariety:

As usual, you can access the details right from the start page of 17jewels.info
