According to Sakura, the sales release seems to be tomorrow:

I'm newbie for Pro-Trek and have no preference to older models. This new PRW-6900 looks great, almost a casual version of Mudmaster GWG-1000. Maybe the stealth black model will arrive to my collection...

I’m all about new options for the Protrek lineup but this is absolutely horrid. They are just taking the same module and regurgitating it in a different design time and time again. There’s nothing innovative about this model or anything else they’ve recently come out with.

I wish they expanded on the 70/7000 module a bit more.

Considering adding this to my small collection because I really like the look but have to say biomass plastics in the foundation is rather off-putting. Someone said "if it outlives me then that is enough". Well, that's true. Thing is that I see the lug joints ripping or snapping due to brittleness from sun wear in just a few years. Any materials engineer here who can convince me this is not necessarily the case?

Deluxe version of the reddish leather this with Ti casing, Ti band and sapphire. Put a large octagon shaped ruby gemstone in the center of the watch face too rotating with the hour hand. I'd get it!

To each his own, and no hard feelings, buuuut…for me this is unequivocally the ugliest Protrek ever released. A big swing and a miss compared to previous recent releases. I guess they're going after the Apple Watch market…

That is not an ugly watch. Really is very nice looking and also looks as if it would be comfortable to wear. Would be awesome if they put the same module as the prw70. If I could get the prw70 in the UK I'd buy it straight away. Put same module in the prw30 then that would be perfection.

I have to say, I have had 3-4 Protrek iterations that were all very feature-packed and very useful. This is (to me) the best looking one so far! It has all the functions you'd expect but has a Panerai appeal and I just love that Casio is launching models that offer 3rd party strap capability. I can easily see it on a NATO, a brushed bracelet or a dive strap. I stumbled on this and bought one in the black colorway (en-route). I will have to see how the stainless finish stands up to the elements but I am not confident it will retain the lustre of a dress-up application but each mark and ding can be a story to tell.
