I got an email on this too. Looks interesting but I doubt it will be a classic for long if it even is to start with. At $10,000 it’s just not for me

 

That’s one pretty looking watch. I just don’t know if I’d be brave enough to drop $10K on a 50/50 dial.

I agree. The first edition is a real winner. If only it was an unlimited release.

 

Interesting case design but at 10k that bracelet doesn’t look like anything special.

 

Ugh it's worse than 'not special', I didn't even notice those massive gaps at the start. It looks like a stretched out metal isofrane 😂

Love the look, but I'm not personally that into Zenith to drop the coin on this one. Also, the cynical watch consumer in me is now waiting for next year's "final final (1) (edited) (for real this time) final edition."

 

Not something that I'd hunt down to buy, but I'd be stoked to see one in the wild. Cool piece for sure for the right person

Hmmm… not a fan. Although I’d like to see Rolex release a Daytona like this so in 25 years I can watch it being resold as the “Oreo edition” for 10 million dollars.

The first edition's dial, I like. The second edition's dial is alright. However, the third edition's dial is horrific.

 

Lupin III Castle of Cagliostro (1979) was a good movie. This final edition reminds me of Star Trek though…

 

I would love a first edition, but this final edition just doesn't do it for me.

 

Unless there's something special on the backside, that's a really lazy collab. Is there anything on the watch that suggests Lupin and not "hey we're playing with colors!"? Even if you know of the other two watches?

I also, predictably, like the 2nd edition best, though I sort of like the idea that the two chronograph subdials are executed in a different colour on the 1st edition; in fact, I have a chrono that features this, albeit in a less radical execution:

I would have to own the watch for a while to see if I truly like the idea, and I definitely don't have the money to spend on it, so I'll never know.

 

 

The anime/manga connection is really repelling...

 

I’ll take the MK1 every time over the 50/50. It just doesn’t sit right with me. I do have to applaud Zenith though for not only doing a manga inspired watch but a damn bold dial design to boot! Bravo Zenith

 

My nickname used to be Lupin.
Because I looked like Lupin and all the Japanese caught onto that.
I wouldn't buy that watch, though.

 

Thought this was a joke for a moment when I saw the release. I really like the white dial though.

 

I like the first release...not feeling the half and half split on the 3rd...looks like the design team got lazy and came up with this idea!

 

Not crazy about this latest release, but the first and second editions look stellar.

 

At least they're doing colorways outside the box, and I applaud Zenith for that.
