Hello all!
I am looking to re-sell a few GV2 watches which I received as gifts, but have no idea how to estimate their value. No watches of these models have ever sold on ebay, and the Gevril website lists them, but does not list their price. I believe that they are very valuable, and I don't want to screw this up.

The first two are from the GV2 New York collection. I believe that they are limited edition, and/or are no longer in production. These include one watch from the Soho collection, and the other is from the Chelsea collection. Here are the pictures:

GV2 Chelsea (stainless steel wristband):

Finally, I have a third watch, which appears to be of significantly lesser value, but I'm not positive. It's the GV2 4000B model, and it looks like this:

Watch Analog watch Product Rectangle Clock

The original prices for these watches are as follows
The Chelsea watch retail price was $4,495
The Soho watch retail price was $4,995
The 4000B watch retail price was $2,195

But they obviously are worth more at this point.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Even just some tips for a first time watch seller. What's the best way to get them appraised, without being screwed over? Who might know about these specific watches? Thanks all, and keep on keeping time.

Based on the alleged way you acquired these watches, the information you have gotten, plus your expectations I daresay you've already been screwed over.

Live and learn.

I like the "recieved as gifts" angle. So much better than the grandfathers watch gag.

There are very few watch brands that go up in value over time, and Gevril is not one of them. I don't see those exact models, but the majority of Gevrils for sale online are listed at a fraction of MSRP. Check Jomashop for a list of them available at 81% off, which is an everyday price.

So... $1000 would be the top end if someone REALLY liked it, but most completed sales on the brand on ebay are around $300, so good luck.
And that assumes these are genuine. Surprisingly enough to me, you can buy counterfeit Gevrils online pretty easily.

No, not obvious at all.
But, more consequentially, they're NOT "worth more" at this point, nor were they ever worth that at any point before.

Closer to 1/5 th - 1/6 th of those numbers.

The watches are worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for them. Put them on ebay and find out.
