Ecological gold watch

The new watchbrand ARLANCH of Sweden have launched their first model in the form of an ecological/environmental friendly gold watch, priced at USD 1,069.00.

The gold case has been manufactured with a fraction of the environmental impact common to these watches. The movement is the version of ETA 955.412 that meets the criteria of the RoHS directive. This prohibitates the use of led, mercury and quicksilver (please see the enclosed file 'declaration_of_conformity' from ETA). The leather strap is made by RIOS and is manufactured without the use of PCP or carcinogenic azo dyes and the rubber based glue in combination with non allergenic leather linings makes it friendly to the wrist as well.

The watch is also available in a climate neutral version. This is accomplished by neutralising the greenhouse gases, in the production of the watch, by buying offsets of carbon dioxide. Information on how it works is available on sites like
