Hello all Just found this forum and thought I'd seek some info.

I am in the market for a Seiko 6501 8XXX, and was hoping some of you could help with what to look for in a preowned seiko diver. Other than the obvious.

I am curious as to what "hacking" means, dates to look into, good sources to purchase from and more importantly who to send to for refurbishing.

Hi Sir,

You probably mean a Seiko 6105. Hacking means the second hand will stop if the crown is pulled to the 2nd position.
