Hello everyone,

I took a punt and bought my first Casio off Ebay. I replaced the old batteries with SR927W equivalents (399), did the 'all clear' routine, set it all up, 'Home City", current time and date, 'Hand Home Position' etc. All seems to be working as it should EXCEPT for the button beep and alarm (e.g. there is no sound). I double-checked the watch was NOT set on mute.
When changing the batteries I noted the the 'alarm springs' and was very careful not to disturb them. There were two 'gold' coloured springs grouped together near the edge of the module and a 'silver' coloured spring near the centre of the module, making a total of three springs.
Can anyone tell me if this is the correct number of springs required for this watch, or have any ideas what might be wrong. Its a great watch and the fact it does not beep isn't the end of the world, but if I could get it sorted out, I would be really happy. Unfortunately, I did not take any photographs of the module before I put the watch back together again.
Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks for reading my first post.

Regards,
Bob.

yes, I haven't opened this G but like other Gshocks, there are 3 springs at the back of the module

if after reading the instruction and trying everything, it doesn't have sound, then, I guess the spring doesn't touch the speaker at the back cover, in such case, you need to stress out the spring a little bit

Hello again G-fob,

Today, I had another look inside the watch and found the single 'silver' coloured spring, was slightly shorter than the two 'gold' coloured springs. I stressed it out a little, as you suggested and success, the beep and alarm are now working as they should.

Thank for your advice.

Regards,
Bob.
