I posted this last month https://www.watchuseek.com/f35/comanche-529754.html and some goofyness with the dial indices was pointed out. Blimey, they were peeling!

After a few weeks of not wanting to ship it off for weeks and perhaps months, I decided to ship it to KWC who had already said they would hook it up with new dial gratis as it was a known issue with some dials.
Less than three weeks later, I get the watch back. As good as new!

Let me know if you see something else wrong! :-!

That looks better, though I suspect most of the improvement
comes from turning off the flash for this photo. Now that it is
new again you have to wear it every day.

Here is the thread with the "before" photos.

Is there a reason you keep the bezel set at the 38 minute mark?

Thanks,

The bezel at 38? What do you mean?
It's always at 38 - I thought the positioning allowed for night time navigation when pointed at the North Star, to allow me to travel in a NNW direction.
Don't tell me its broken and I need to send it in again?
:-d

I thought I read it a little different. Was it if you keep the "12" index pointed
in the direction of polaris then the bezel index points to home? Of course it
only works at night. Since your watch just came from Pittsburgh I guess that
puts the course line a little west of Nashville. I suppose if you were going all
the way to Houston you might need to make small a mid course correction.

Perhaps those watches bound for Australia ship with a count down bezel.
I don't know what people down under use for a reference point. They can't
see Polaris at all. Can they?

Anyway enjoy your Comanche even if you aren't using for steering.

Thanks,

Such a beauty! I've had the Comanche with the other dial glued to my wrist for several weeks. I thought this watch might be too small but it turns out to be absolutely perfect on me. I have a ti bracelet coming for it tomorrow.

It is a beauty indeed. I'd be interested inseeing some shots of your LE - don't think I've seen any posted anywhere. It certainly is a very satisfying watch and I agree, it's a perfect size - not too big, not too small. I hope your ti bracelet fits well.
