What does this Custom 3 Hand Swiss mean?

Is it an automatic or is it a quartz battery powered watch?

I want to pick one of these Nixon 42-20 Tides up and need to know. Can anyone who has owned a Nixon with this movement please chime in?

The Nixon 42-20 Tide is Quartz battery powered. Only the Elite, ceramic edition (for about 2000$) is automatic.
About the Swiss movement I'm not sure. I'm very curious what it actually means, but I ended up ordering this watch a few days ago after all.
