Not much of Nomos here? I would call it a forum darling that gets talked about more here vs it’s real world impact than maybe almost any brand besides sinn.

but I have always admired this one. I like the dive watch but in a GADA form factor idea. It just seems that little more capable and robust than what I’d normally think of as a “sports watch”, without going full dive tables. Cool niche from a brand that marches to its own drum.

Nomos gets a lot of love here. They would get more love from me if they would shorten their lug length.
truer words were never spoken

I've gotten my special occasion watch from them and never looked back since. Still regard them as the best brand around 2K range, I just won't plan on buying any from them again. If I must, I will just look at Stowa instead.

Their long lugs aren't compatible with my twiggy wrists.

May be valid for Public but not for the German Watches Forum.
Indeed, lots of talk and love for Nomos on this forum.

Also one of the biggest (if not the biggest) German brands in terms of volume.

I can't bring myself to buy a watch named the "Club". Same goes with buying a "Jazzmaster". It's too bad, as I like the watches, just not the names.
Fortunately ”club” is not written on the watch. (However I see your point - for example, I will never buy a watch having the “khaki” text on the dial - without the “h” it means poop in my language…) 😀

I also love the robustness of a dive watch in a GADA aesthetic. Its a perfect mix
