A local store that used to be an AD of a particular brand earlier this year is no longer one. This particular dealer still has stock of the manufacturers watches and said that the watches will still have full manufacturer warranty dated the day of the sale even though they no longer carried the AD status. Does this sound right?

Could be right. I would check with the manufacturer to be sure that the warranty card would still be honored.

The watch msnufacturer will be able to answer your question. We can only guess. Whether the former dealer still has the authority to bind the watch company to a warranty is not obvious.

I just called the manufacturer’s USA customer service line and they said as long as a warranty card is provided it’s a valid warranty on their end.
