I got these 2 unused Komandirskies yesterday. They seem to be USSR era and according to the receipt, purchased in 1990. One is a Tank Commander and the other is a Sub Commander. I don't think they were ever used. The seller got it as a tourist in Russia back then.

I got the original boxes and one receipt. I can't read Russian so maybe the receipt is for both watches.

Are the crowns supposed to be like that when screwed in? Seems to leave a small gap unlike other screw down crowns. I doubt it is waterproof anymore. It might need seals replaced. I don't have the tools to open it up.

Here is the receipt: ( I also made it into a pdf so that you can see the bigger image. I can't attach it though. The link to the pdf of the receipts is on mediafire:
Boctok_receipt.pdf [The password is watchuseek] ).

Can someone summarize what it says on the receipt? Take a look at the pdf for bigger image.

So what do you think about them? Also, are they 18mm lugs?

Hi,
The passport is not filled in the descriptive part, so we can't say for sure that the dociment is for this watch exactly. Anyhow, in the last years of the regime, everything was rotten, so no attention was payed to quality, no control ets. It's normal to have incomplete document and bad crown, or a very easy rotatind basel. I guess it's genuin. The fake ones usually copy the "Заказ МО СССР" version. It could be that these two were part of a deffective / low quality partide because of the crowns and for this reason they were not send to the market. Someone from the factory or the market chain stole them and now they came for a new life.
Congratulations! NOS comandirskie is not a frequent treasure.

My NOS Komandirskie came with a passport that didn't match either....I think that's pretty common. 'Grats on the watches...I'm a Vostok groupie! LOL!!! :)

I like the cases for these watches better than the round ones without crown guards like mine. I might look around for something similar. Congrats on the watches by the way! They are very nice.

I was thinking about what you said about the crown. I looked for NOS Komandirskies of this type on ebay and the seller "Soviet Rarities" (svtrrts) has some and their crowns are exactly like what I have. I also checked USSRTime database and it is the same thing. I can't find a perfect example where the crown goes all the way in. My guess is that it was made like this. The only crowns that do go in all the way are on Amphibians and maybe Komandirskies without crown-guards.

Can someone verify/clarify this for me?
