Hi,

I've been looking around the forum and I looked for images online and I found that OBDLC with leather strap is rather uncommon.

I am thinking of getting an OBDLC soon and I am thinking of changing the strap to a classy looking brown leather strap.

Thoughts?

I usually wear my (albeit slightly modded) OBDLC on a weathered dark brown NATO with black DLC hardware. I'll post a new picture shortly, but have several others I could try on for you as well.

I think the OBDLC would look very good with the Steinhart Vintage Brown bracelet, band 262 Bracelet Vintage Brown - bracelet 22mm - Steinhart Watches

If you think the leather isn't dark enough, give it some time as it gets darker when wearing it.
I have one on my O1V and it's an awesome combination.

Found a pic of a O1BDLC with the Steinhart leather strap over at the German Uhr forum.
As I said in my previous post, the strap gets darker when worn.

Looks real good on the leather, and normally prefer leather straps unless the bracelet is exceptional. In this case the OEM DLC bracelet is excellent, so I have not swapped it out for leather. Thanks for the idea and the photo research.

I think a Isofrane strap would also look good. I just put one on my O1B and it rocks.

Happy thanksgiving y'all. Here is the most recent picture of my modded O1B with an after marked brown NATO with matching hardware.

FYI, I put the dial and hands of the standard Ocean One into the DLC, but kept the black date wheel of the O1B. Also put the aluminum bezel in.

The strap is a bit lighter in person, but this is the best picture I have while on vacation for the holiday.

Those all look really good. I am about 99% of the way to getting one with the ceramic bezel. That ocean one dial looks good on it as well. I'm looking at a nato very similar to that I think, as well as maybe a black and a green zulu. I have a 2 piece medium-light brown leather off another watch that might work as well, but doesn't have the pvd hardware unfortunately.

The isofrane and steinhart straps would definitely be great just a little on the expensive side.

I should have mentioned, but that weathered brown NATO with PVD hardware came from cheapestntostraps.com

The straps are of variable thickness/hardiness. This one was somewhere in the middle of that spectrum.
