Oceanus Arrives!

Hi Guy's
The oceanus 1st generation that I ordered from ebay seller jj_watches arrived today. My camera's batteries died so the attached wristshot is extremely poor, I will post better one's once my batteries are charged!There is one stock one attached as well to show in better detail the watch.

First impressions are of a very well made watch, solid weighty stainless steel construction, blued second hand and alarm hand, sapphire crystal.
the dial is white with a beautiful diamond pattern engraved, the numbers are polished metal finish.

A nice padded leather strap complements the watch perfectly I think!

There is a sunken button on the side of the case at the 2 o'clock position that can be pulled out to activate the alarm.

I hope it is OK to mention this but I want to say what a positive experience I had from the seller, he went out of his way to help me get the watch as I had special circumstances. He was prepared to wait for the payment to come through a longer time scale and once payment arrived mailed the watch out the same day!

The watch came will all protective stickers in place and very well packaged, it came exactly as described. I got the watch for $35 but he had raised the price to $39 after I had ordered mine, still great value for this watch I believe, list new was $180!
I will be buying my next G shock from him!

I have never had so many new watches arrive in such a short space of time..I love it!

Thanks for the information. I ordered and just received the black one on a bracelet. Another quick question for you, does the date numbers on yours seem to be low and close to the lower edge of the date window? Thanks.

Glad I can help. Yes the date almost rest on the bottom of the frame, I have noticed this over a period of days no matter what number is displayed, perfectly aligned tho'
What do you think of yours? The metal braclet looks really nice from the pictures I have seen!

Today is the 2nd time and day in a row that I'm wearing it and I can say that I am quite impressed by it. As already mentioned, I am only disappointed with how the date sits low in the window and how small the numbers are - hard to see the date with a quick glance. Other than that, I feel that this watch is unbeatable for its $50 price.

Yeh the date is a bit small, but not as small as this one that I have, still one of my favorite watches though!

I like the black face one you have more and more and the bracelet looks really solid! glad your enjoying it!

Still waiting on my 1st gen Oceanus chrono wi the black face, 3 weeks and counting....boo ! Shame I ticked donkey expressed when ordering, hey hoh...they sound a cracking buy for the price, looking forward to checking out the quality...and to have sapphire glass is fantastic ! Gonna be a high quality beater

Great timing, no sooner had I posted my last email when my package from 4-watches arrived ! Got a dark faced OC-503 chrono for $49 plus delivery...superb watch for the price, very attractive and excellent quality. I really like how the sapphire glass is flat and not domed, even the leather strap is good quality, you will not go wrong for the price. There are still some on ebay, highly recommended for a cheap, smart non G.

I managed to get one of the white face models but the black face one is now discontinued. I bought one of the chrono versions instead.

You really got this watch cheap. I payd for my oceanus about 100$ in local watch store. It is oceanus oc-103 with steel armband, and black dial. The watch is very well built but I manage to scratch the safire on the edge of granit table. good thing is that you can see that only if you look really close...
