I just noticed Aviation-Time has an "Okeah" without the left side crown in "good quantities (999)." Where the deuce are these coming from?

I'm going to bow out of this conversation now. I stopped posting on this forum about four years ago for this very reason. There is no winning for us when we get into these issues. We were accused of something here and I tried to clarify it. We took in a few watches from our legitimate manufacturer, of which we are their authorized distributor. And we sold them in the methods we agreed and informed them we would pursue. I will have absolutely no trouble sleeping and know for a fact that our company has made no ethics violation of any kind in this matter. If you don't trust us, then don't buy watches from us. If you do, then we are happy to have your business.

Honestly, this was a private sale for our customers that shouldn't have ever been posted on this forum. That was inappropriate in the first place. We have every right to have private sales and it is reasonable to assume they would remain private.

I have no idea what you are talking about saying that we have "bought watches we know were born of limited edition and then we sold copies." (I am paraphrasing what you said). We buy from the stock list given to us by the manufacturer JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER RESELLER OF THESE WATCHES. It is not our job to set or manage the limited edition numbers produced by the manufacturer or to dictate to them how they produce limited editions and the internal rules they set for this. If you want to have a negative toward us, then that is your prerogative. But then you must do the same for every one of our peers who sell these watches as we are ALL buying from the same stock. I was informed by the manufacturer of the opportunity to pick up and resell part of the remaining stock of this watch. Nothing more complicated than that. We are not being deceptive and we are only offering what we have been offered, in good faith, by our manufacturer.
I´m sorry if you don´t understand me so good, maybe the languaje is a barrier. I´m sorry, I´m spanish.

Anyway...
Are you telling me you don´t know the Okeah F.E project before buying pieces from manufacturer?

- You´re WUS forumer from 2006.
- The Okeah F.E is a watch offered on WUS.
- There is a public "spreadsheet" (public Okeah F.E reserve list) that maybe you know. All serial numbers and nicknames are writed on the public reserve list.

Please, I´m sorry, but I can´t believe you don´t know all watches (300/300) was reserved a few months ago, so... I think you know what watches are you selling.

With all my respect... That´s my opinion.

Greetings.

This is the LAST thing I am going to write about this. I am NEVER on this forum any more. I stopped coming here four years ago because of stuff just like this. I have been called names and accused of things on this forum (completely unfounded things) that I would never say to anyone. Even people I don't like. The ONLY reason I came here today was because a customer emailed me that this watch was causing a "fuss" on the WUS forum.

You can believe me or not. I honestly don't care... but I paid not even the slightest attention to this watch being on this forum. I was aware there was a watch like this, but to think that I would have even the remotest interest in a spreadsheet with who bought what is... well, i won't say what it is. But I have more pressing matters than following the watch-buying habits of the members of this forum, particularly a watch I had nothing to do with prior to being offered them by Volmax.

I am going to write this one last time. I was offered a watch by Volmax. I assumed these were unsold pieces they had from original stock and thought little more of it. I followed the method of sales they asked me to follow. If you want to think I'm part of some conspiracy to defraud you or that I was trying to "get away with something" then go right ahead.

I've spent way to much time on this matter already.

thanks,
Craig

No problem with getting and selling the watches. BUT, I would have written the advertising copy as something like: "We have been able to source a few remaining NOS Okeah watches and are offering them for sale".

Instead, the way the ad is worded implies, whether it was meant to or not, that this is more of the "final edition", limited run of watches for sale.

I mean, come on -- knowing the popularity of the real final edition Okeah, the the ad writer should have made it crystal clear to make sure this ad wouldn't create controversy.

To be honest, the few watches that one might sell with this ad probably won't make up for the harm to the retailer's brand equity from the way the ad is now being perceived.

I think the problem is in Volmax, not dealers or companies that sell produts. The problem is unethical volmax... But The question is ... it´s wrong, yes, I agree, but who's going to say something? who will tell a company like volmax (who is Swiss) what to sell? ... The watch industry is a business, other values have long been lost, and not only in the Russian watches, also in the Swiss made watches.

I find it very unusual that Volmax would do such an extreme disservice to their reputation especially considering their venture into the Swiss market. I would think that very few will trust a "limited edition" from Volmax going forward. Three hundred watches is a substantial order... one that wouldn't have happened otherwise. Exploiting and profiting from the volunteer efforts of the concept developers, designers, and the distributor at HdR is very, very disrespectful.

Whatever may come out of this - nothing will compare to the experience of being part of the original 300. I will always enjoy my Okeah FE with the fond memories and honourable friends that I've made being part of this amazing project. In sadness, we will probably never see a project quite like this on WUS again.

In the meantime, I turn my attention to Raketa ... |>

I reckon we've covered this issue from every possible angle. Time to move on before any more blood is shed.
