Hello, first time posting on the Russian watches part of the forum

While I was looking for my first Vostok, I noticed that pretty much all the 'classic' Komandirskies out there have the date window. All the classic-styled Komandirskies on Meranom have the date window.

I've only seen a few pictures of classic Komandirskies with no date - one was an 'Airborn' dial - the other was a submarine dial.

I am curious to know, how uncommon are Komandirskies like this? Do we have any idea when or why they were made? Are they 'real' or some kind of knock off or franken-watch?
