Hi,

So I've been going through my Grandfathers box of tricks and came across this little watch. It winds and is not overwound but the crown stem does come out freely, for some reason it just doesn't want to start. As far as I can see the balance wheel and spring look ok. It's probably not worth much but is it worth repairing?

So far it's the only mechanical watch I own.

It would only be worth repairing if it is of sentimental value to you, it would certainly not be worth repairing for resale.

Thanks, that's what I've been thinking, seeing as I'm not going to be using it there's really no point in getting it repaired. I'll hang on to it as a keepsake and save the repair costs towards something shiny.
