Saw this watch for sale locally. Not for myself, but a friend is looking (wish it was for me, but my Pilot will do).

If I compare to the one on the website, the date window side looks off, but maybe its just an older model and worth my friend looking at it in person.

Yes, it's the previous Spitfire model.

It is the older Spitfire Chronograph 3706-23, which comes in 39mm diameter compared to the new Spitfire in 42mm. They changed the whole pilot series in 2006, so the watch your friend is interested in might be older than 5 - 6 years and need a revision.

I ended up buying the watch. The friend who was thinking about it didnt want it (didnt have the cash) but it was a good deal and I thought I'd buy it to pass onto another wise for a fair price.
