OMEGA Seamaster Chrono Question-Help!

I believe that watch has a calibre 1164 in it which is based on the Valjoux 7750. The date change on that movement doesn't happen in a near-instant, like many other movements. I've had several and they take a few hours to completely change. Having said that, 4:00 AM does seem beyond the range of any I've had.

A good watchmaker can definitely fix it ... they'll probably want to do a complete overhaul, though, which won't be cheap on an 1164, since it's a chronograph... you're probably looking at ~$400, maybe more.
