My grandfather past last week, and he left this piece to me.

I wanted to know if this unique Omega is real or fake.

I have had some people told me is real, but I do not have any box or papers of the watch, so these pictures is the only one I have taken.

From the pics provided it does look real. Also, the fakes weren't as good in the early 00's, so it makes it even less likely to be a fake.

The fakes of these didn't have a date set button on the side and the bracelets usually are not stamped at the end links. Looks good to me.

Sorry about your grandfather and welcome to possibly (probably?) being the first person on this board to have inherited a real watch and not a piece of junk. *

Have it serviced and wear it proudly. A very nice watch.

* a bit of an inside joke here. Most people who have "inherited" a watch generally show pictures of $5 counterfeits.
