I am sure that they did not intend to put in the wrong dial.
And to be fair, I only noticed it on a very quiet Saturday evening...

I actually love the look, but since I tend to flip my speedmasters often, I don't want to risk the value of the watch

I think correcting the error is the right thing to do, or you'll take a bath on resale.

I still don’t get it why replace the dial for fixing an alignment of hands….
Anyway is bad and you should return it and ask for immediate and quick fix

Since it’s such an amateur error on Omega’s part and you like the look, I’d demand to keep it as is but they give you the correct dial too.

Wonder if there's a Hesalite 3861 owner with your dial.......too bad they didn't give you a Snoopy dial with your 3861 Sandwich......

Haha...good luck with that one! 😂

I'm sure they'll be adamant about returning the watch so they can restore it to it's original, factory condition.

Would that be considered a service dial then?

So, they will replace dial and hands ASAP. They were very nice and regretted the situation. The watchmaker said he ordered a new dial since he made a dent in the old from pulling the hands off.... two weeks it should take before the new parts arrive.
I can enjoy my unique Speedy 3861 in the waiting time

Why replace the hands?
They said that they bend easily and that their fitment to the stem is very tight and thus difficult to work with.

Meantime, I just found a VERY small particle sitting on the underside of the crystal....

That's good to hear they will take care of it. A good lesson to look over the watch carefully after any work is done.

I'm curious, what do you mean by mis-aligned hands (the reason you sent it in)?

All is good with mine (except the hesalite chewed by satan), was feeling like a hypochondriac for a hot minute there.
