Well, let's be fair here. The Monaco wasn't sold for about 25 years, so I'd argue there's only so much "capitalizing" going on. I'd say you've got a fair bet that omega have released more special edition Speedmaster professionals than there have ever been Monaco's of all shapes and colours.
But I digress... Buy both! The Monaco is an incredibly comfortable watch, the size and bulkiness is all bollocks. It wears no bigger than a speedy pro to me. I'm not a wrist frisbee fan, but I'm a huge Monaco and Speedy Pro fan. Perfect case sizes IMO.
