Omega x Swatch Speedmaster MoonSwatch pigment bleeding on skin issue

Many concerning reports have appeared about the MoonSwatch in the last few days since the release. The case seems to bleed pigment on the skin.

Could this be a health risk issue? The blue dye is mixed with the bioceramic resin which the case is made off. Bioceramic is a mix of two-thirds ceramic and one-third bio-derived plastic. The ceramic is made of zirconium dioxide according to the swatch website which already had released a bioceramic watch in 2021.

Meaning that the pigment bleeding issue could mean that the skin can soak this up, meaning that it will also soak up the chemicals which the plastic material is made off and this can find its way into your blood system. What are your thoughts?

UPDATE: the red Mars and yellow Sun version also seem to have the same dye leaking issue TheStandard recently reported.

My thoughts are the following (And I mean no offense to anyone)

I worked as a sign writer for a large part of the 90's, so I wouldn't be worried about some staining on the wrist.
But todays younger generation include a lot of snowflakes, and many a theory will be born from this "pigment gate"

Having worn bronze cases for many years I am used to green wrists.

Blue would be a nice change.

No offense taken.
lets say (for argument sake) that this pigmentation does not have any impact on your body. Is it ok to sell a product that leave pigments on your skin ? didn't they have enough time to test/run some tests on the watch before releasing it? i mean its not like customers were knocking on the doors of the swatch factory asking about their moonswatch.

where is swatch from all this? , don't they see the videos and the pictures online about the dye leak, or are they still busy uploading the pictures and videos of the massive crowds that they created outside their shops while people waited.

HEALTH RISK WARNING: Omega x Swatch Speedmaster MoonSwatch pigment bleeding on skin issue
Disgusting click-baiting and unnecessary scaremongering.
That there is a health risk is in NO way proven and extremely unlikely. As it seems, the laser print on the battery compartment cover of the "Mission to Neptune" stains a little, which should be less dangerous overall than the verdigris produced on thousands of bronze watches by the reaction with skin sweat.

When you state "Many..." how many? And can you cite your sources for others to evaluate your claim?

This could be a health risk issue. The blue is mixed with the resin which the case is made off. What are your thoughts.
Once again, can you cite evidence to back your supposition that there is a health issue? You made a broad claim in your title but followed up only with your opinion which more resembles libel than any scientific study or evidence.

I am still very interested to see if the other colours bleed off the case.

I am not sure if the pigment is a health risk or not but this is certainly not acceptable. It will be more acceptable if it is the sticker but if the pigment is bleeding out of the case material, that is really disappointing. I will not be buying any colourway until Swatch addresses this (maybe they won't ever do it) but they will certainly sell out so I have no dog in this fight.

While I doubt this is a health issue, I don’t think there is any reason to attack the OP for pointing this out.

No problems with Mercury or Jupiter so far.

Source: My partner and I have been wearing our MoonSwatches since buying them on Saturday morning.

I’d normally agree, but when you start a thread with all caps “HEALTH RISK WARNING:” and have nothing to back it up…

Don't they test these things on animals before selling them to the public?

Fake pics, BS posts, the color of these plastic cases is not going to bleed. Nothing but a bunch of fearmongering BS.

Everyone is gonna dye, thats for sure
Colorful stains on the wrist must be annoying. But also if they wear a jacket or shirt, stains might even more a problem.

Maybe it's meant to be worn in space missions over the astronaut suit. Then you stain the astonaut suit only.

I mean, blue jeans that aren't pre-washed do this, and some people call that a feature!
Seriously, I think this is a case of being overly cautious-- without some evidence of them using specifically unsafe pigments, I'm going to assume that whatever chemicals are in use aren't a big deal. I think it would be a good idea for them to release the specific makeup of the coloring, just to soothe fears like this, though.
I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
