Hello,

I was offered this for a trade of a Tudor BB GMT.

Here is what I know about the watch.

The watch has aftermarket bezel, and refinished dial and hands, I'm sure replaced crystal.
Case, movement and crown are all original.
1968 ETA Cal 2483

I've always wanted a Tudor Sub, but they are out of my price range, this is the closest I can get, what are your thoughts?
Anything specific I should ask for?

Should I stay clear? I would never expect I could get a all original Tudor Sub.

No. Pass on all refinished dialed Rolex Tudor watches, thats over 50% of the value and its no longer a real Tudor, its got a fake dial. Keep the BBgmt and save up for the right Tudor Sub, you will not regret passing on this one. You can find redialed tudor subs on ebay anytime and 4k is not a great price for a case and movement.
Trust me, I am sure hes having a tough time trying to off load that watch.

Good call. I am not trying to give you financial advice but if you gave yourself a year to patiently hunt down a 7016, you could get one with original parts, no bracelet, in this condition for under the price of two BB GMTs. You saved up for it once, you can do it again. Good luck.

stay clear, it has been polished way too often,
you can see the lug pins almost sticking through the case.
