I could see that. The braclet is amazing quality and therefore a bit blingy so sticks out more.IMO the Aquis wears a little smaller (or seems to at least), however I also think its worth mentioning that the Trident wears its biggest on the bracelet. I put mine on leather and rubber and it wears like a charm (feels much smaller and less bulky than when on the bracelet). Before you switch pieces I would give that a go if you havent already.
May I ask what is the lug to lug length of the 40mm Oris Aquis? Both of the watches are available in smaller sizes, the Oris Aquis Date 40mm and C.Ward Trident 38mm. So why not just drop down a size?
I used to have CW Tridents in both 43mm and 38mm but now just have two 38mm Tridents, and I also have a 40mm Aquis Date. I have a 6.75" wrist and both wear really well, and I believe look so much better on than the larger sizes.
