I recently got to check out a brand new microbrand watch called the OSO Orbit. This is an affordable meca-quartz chronograph (I believe it will go on Kickstarter for $220 over the next few weeks), and has a very interesting case and bezel design. There's definitely a lot of vintage chronograph design inspiration, as well as case design elements from the 70s.

Very nice. Really has that 70's retro-vibe going for it.

Another great review!

Thanks, as always!! Yeah I love the case for that 70s design.

Can any owners speak to this watch at all in terms of how it wears? It looks huge in all the videos. Square watches tend to wear bigger. I‘m guessing this wears more like a 42mm chrono?
I've been seeing a lot of gold case with green dial combos lately. Starting to realize it's a surprisingly good combo. Great review!

Answering my own question as I just picked one of these up LNIB on eBay. Thoughts…

Positives:
Wears like a 41mm watch, not too big at all
crystal is lovely
nice big crown
domed crystal is about 1mm of the 12.5mm thickness so not too fat feeling
enamel dial is really nice
The packaging and presentation is excellent
Oozes 60's/70's charm
100m of water resistance

Negatives:
The white dial version is a little less legible with the silver hands (always the case)
The two blues don't match (subjective)
The crown feels a little disconnected from the hands (sometimes the case with Quartz compared to autos)
The bracelet has those horrible double sided screw links and has no micro adjust or half links

These are sharp looking and well made, but perhaps a tad bit over priced compared to Brew Watch at the same cost for the quartz versions. Oso and Brew both specialize in cushion and square cases. Brew is worth $350 any day. This Oso, while nice, is better priced at about $225 without bracelet and maybe $275/with bracelet. If you do get one, skip the bracelet. Better can be bad on Amazon for half the price. I'm glad I bought this watch….at $175 with the extra bracelet and original strap and not $375.
