Hello,

I just received a new Parnis 43mm watch and it looks great. I'm well aware of the rotor noise that accompanies this watch, and I'm fine with that. I'll likely have it greased by a watch smith to reduce the noise (if that's the correct thing to do) or remove it altogether and hand wind the watch as a last resort.

However, I was not expecting to hear a ringing noise that originates from the movement of the watch when I move it around. I believe the slight clicking noise is caused when the rotor spins around and hits something, but I'm not 100% sure. Nonetheless, it only happens when the watch is moving. I will likely be taking the watch to a watch smith to get this fixed too, but I just want to know if anyone here can help me with this vexing problem. The ringing noise is quite a bit more noticeable than the rotor noise (But occurs less frequently).

Thanks!

Could be a tons of things:

-movement space is not the currenct size

-automatic rotor is hitting the holder screws

-poorly assembled movement with wobbly rotor

nope of the problem can be fixed without take off the case back

good luck at the watchmaker
