I'm looking to buy my first Patek. I really love the 3940 – it's one of the few more modern Pateks that retains the classic Patek vibe. However, I'm not sure that they can be found for $25k. If not, are there any other vintage or pre-owned Patek complications within my $25k budget?

Re: Good price for a Patek 3940 or other Patek complications

Where have you looked?
I've checked chrono24 and found this but not sure how reliable the dealer is. Also, getting it from Taiwan is a bit hard. I've also tried auction houses but recently lost the bidding at the Sothebys Hong Kong Auction.

and what complications are you after exactly?
Perpetual calendar is my priority. Although I'd be open to annual calendars (just the 5396 tho) and if possible chronographs (highly unlikely to fit my budget). If I can find a Patek 130 chronograph for around $27K, I'd be happy.
