PeekaboO (Kervin) Outstanding, honest and patient seller!
I wanted to let everyone know what a fantastic experience I have just had with PeekaboO (a.k.a. Kervin) in Singapore. He is by far the most honest, patient, and friendly seller I have ever dealt with - I wish there were more like him.
I just received a *mint* Seiko SUS military 4S15 from PeekaboO that looks like it has never been worn! When I was asking for mint I had no idea I would get a watch this clean, especially one that is a few years old.
The watch came with the original box, instructions, warranty card, cleaning cloth (still in sealed bag) and original black leather strap (also still in sealed bag). It's almost like I went into a store and bought it new - hard to beat that for a rare find!
It came with a brand new green khaki strap that looks awesome, I can only assume this was to avoid bending/creasing the black leather original - I think I'll keep it on the green strap because it looks so good.
Summary of my transaction:
I posted a WTB request on this forum back in early Sept hoping to find a Seiko SUS in mint condition. PeekaboO responded saying he had one that he was about to post for sale on this forum and would give me first refusal - fortuitous timing me thought.
He sent me over a dozen detailed photos showing every angle of the watch and all of the included pieces (as mentioned above). We agreed on price and I sent payment via Paypal, I was a little dubious about sending money to Singapore but had searched the WUS forums and heard nothing but good things about this seller, so I pulled the trigger.
PeekaboO saw that the shipping address I had provided was not a confirmed address and asked if I had another one, I did but was not at that address often and didn't want to miss a package.
We agreed that I would go through the paypal process to verify the address and in the meantime PeekaboO refunded my money via paypal! How honest is that?
After three + weeks of back and forth with paypal trying to verify the address (long story I'm not going into) I finally decided to have PeekaboO ship the watch to the address that was confirmed, I'd figure out the logistics of how to be there later.
I resent the payment and the next business day my package was sent Express Mail from Singapore. It arrived 4 days later in perfect condition and looking far better than the pictures had lead me to believe. This really is a mint watch with all of the original paperwork and odds and ends.
I could not have asked for a better transaction than this, and I doubt I will ever top this experience unless it's with PeekaboO again - the thought had crossed my mind.
PeekaboO was extremely patient while I was working with paypal. We communicated most days via email and at no point did he want to hurry the process.
If you are ever in a position to purchase a watch from PeekaboO know that he is a man of his word and will not steer you wrong.
