Hey folks. So I'm looking to add to my small collection.

I love my omega aqua Terra and it's the most I've ever spent on a watch. Also have a Bell and Ross sport heritage that's pretty nice.

My budget for my next watch is less than $10,000 and I've been looking at some brands I've never heard of. I want something different than your usual Omega, TAG, etc.

I stumbled onto this Perrelet Turbine Yacht and it looks amazing on the internet, but haven't seen one in person.

Do you all know anything about this brand? Quality, reputation, reliability? Thanks!

I’ve owned a Perrelet Seacraft. Although I think the retail price is a little high the quality and finish was on par with Omega.
The turbine models have been around for a while and are somewhat popular. I imagine there should be a lot of info on them.

I've also owned a Perrelet Seacraft and while I agree that the quality is very good, the resale value is awful.

From what I’ve seen and handled, Perrelet makes a fine watch. Like Mike said, they’re a bit of a niche brand with a “theme” running through many of their models.

Bold design themes, while often unique and interesting, tend to be a bit polarizing; so while I’d normally speak to resale values being bad for most brands, I think the Perrelets, Hublots, Clercs etc. of the world probably take a bigger than average hit.

Just a word of caution regarding the model you’re considering: it’s a very cool looking watch, but a quick search shows it to be 47mm x 15.5mm (?)....which makes it a pretty massive piece. That, combined with the bold design and gold case is gonna give it some serious wrist-presence. Just make sure that jives with your overall vibe.

On a side note, if you’re looking for some lesser-known brands with unique design cues...let us know. We may be able to introduce ya’ to a few surprising brands.
