Greetings all fellow Breitling lovers,

Having owned a Chrono Colt Quartz for over 11 years (awesome sturdy watch), I decided to treat myself to something a little bit more "dressy" b-).

After several weeks of thorough research, I stumbled upon this pristine 2001 Navitimer Montbrillant 'Serie Speciale' (based on a 1960s model), manuals and international certificate etc included:

I instantly fell in love with it and purchased for about Eur 2100 ,-

I would greatly appreciate if you could answer my following questions:

i. How does this watch relate to the regular Navitimer?

ii. What makes this Series so 'Special'?

iii. What would be the RRP of the 2007 equivalent of this Montbrillant?

iv. How do you use the sliding rule and to which end?

Thank you very much in advance!

Regards,

Pieter
