I finally got my all black Oceana!

It was a long wait, but well worth it. Daniel Jiménez was a pleasure to deal with. We exchanged many e-mails during the buying process, exploring a couple of finishing ideas (PVD vs DLC). I really felt like I had a hand in my final watch. He always answered all of my questions. A+ for service and effort. It's hard to believe a two man operation produced this impressive watch.

I have been wearing this beast for about a week now. First impression are that it is extremely easy to wear. I had some initial worries about the thickness. It's massive profile has not been an issue at all to me. My only real criticism is that it's really hard to read the numbers and marks on the bezel. It is all blacked out and the engraving is really shallow. There is not much of a shadow line to make a good contrast.

The strap is really awesome. I would say it is probably the best rubber strap I have come across. Super soft, supple, thick and extremely comfortable. I wish it matched the PVD (the PVD has a slight sheen to it, not a matte finish) a bit better, but not that big an issues to me.

The time setting mechanism is very impressive. It is seemly such a simple concept, that works so smoothly...love it. A real innovation here.

Amazing. What a fantastic watch!

Congratulations. Will you take it diving? I've always wondered if the "depth gauge" works (i.e. can you see the three colours on the constant seconds disappear as you go deeper).

Yep I will be diving with it this summer! I've be a diver since the age of 13!

I can tell you from experience that colors do fade the deeper you go. I have red stripes on my wet suit, by the time I hit 80 to 90 feet deep the red looks grayish...blue is the last color to change
So, how do you set the time? That ring of bumps on the back side act as a crown of sorts?
The nubs on the bottom of the case act as a grip so you can turn the case bottom to set the time. You can even set it underwater! The watch is completely water tight, right down to 5000m...
 An "ultimate" 500 ATM diving watch with a useless bezel? No lume dot, no contrasting markers? On this picture I can barely see the 5 and 10, the other numbers are invisible!

You should ask PITA to fix this. This dive watch cost $5000! You deserve to get a working bezel. They could either use a lume paint or engraving (to reveal the Stainless Steel under the PVD).
I have! And we are working on something...but it will take some time
Congrats:-! Absolutely stunning:p:p:p

How wide is that bad boy?

Cheers

43mm in diameter. Not the biggest diameter, but it fits just right on me.
